  Ah, What a Sunday

That's yours truly looking on with a can of road soda, with master sand carver Lucinda and her nephew Emerson shaving down a rather cool abstract sculpture that got lots of second looks. The waves were flat & low and too many people in the water for fishing, so I stopped by the Surfrider tent - which is always 2:00 at SPI beach access 14 on Sundays. Cool peeps, and this sand castle was right out in front, even cooler.

Ah, the perfect dog days of summer on a mid-July Sunday. Need I say more?

But hot? Goodness, the only way to survive is to jump in the water, and then sit in the shade of a fold-out cabana. This can actually make you feel cold sometimes if there's a breeze, goose bumps even. It feels great!

Hope you're having a good summer so far.
